Working with institutional investors, banks, insurance companies, governments and multinational corporations, HSBC Securities Services offers a range of fund administration, global custody, sub-custody and clearing, and corporate trust and loan agency services.
We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join this team in the role of Corporate Action Assistant.
In this role, you will:

To check corporate action announcements against official websites; to contact with listed companies, FMCs, CSDCC, CDC/SCH and underwriters for updating corporate event information in GHSS.

To update entitlement records in GHSS against those in CSDCC/CDC/SCH; To monitor receivable/deliverable cash/fund units/refund/interest/securities and update daily cash projection report.

To prepare documentations and then liaise with listed companies to execute the proxy voting, meeting attendance registration and collect the income W/H tax receipts. To follow up and draft related correspondence for related confirmation, reject notification or clarification to clients.

To investigate and draft replies to all corporate event-related customer inquiries via SWIFT, fax, e-mail and telephone etc.

To repatriate dividends, pass related vouchers according to customers' instructions.

To effect subscription cost, receive refund and redemption proceeds for IPO, additional issuance, rights issue and Fund transactions.

To prepare various corporate event statistics reports and market analysis for selected overseas customers and management.

To complete the filing of all corporate action related documents.

To call overseas customers for missing voluntary corporate action events instruction before cut-off time.

To process market claims for entitled shares/cash on behalf of overseas customers resulted from delayed trades.
To be successful in the role, you should meet the following requirements:

Bachelor degree (recognized by the state) holder with minimum one year working experience in securities company, experience in banking and financial institution is desired.

Sufficient knowledge in China local securities market, have sound market analysis ability.

Good command of written/spoken English as well as PC skill.

Good interpersonal, communication, negotiation and time-management skills.

Strong capacity to manage client interests and be customer focus.
